Any post after July 2015 chronicles my post-graduation life, with a particular focus on my desperation to eschew monotonous routine. Between July 2015 and January 2016 I worked as an account manager at an Austin-based startup called
Crossover, which recruits international talent on a remote employment model. I struggled to adjust to the bizarrely sedentary pattern of work life, fighting the subtle quicksand sink into "your normal, hardworking, quietly desperate species of American."* At the beginning of 2016, I left Crossover and Austin for a writing fellowship at
Edible Nashville magazine in Nashville, TN.
